The challenge
The challenge
(placeholder CAFOC) Teachers across the academic network needed a dedicated space for following the
journeys of struggling learners, beyond the standard digital workspace. Existing tools mixed assessment
with support, blurring the tutor's role. A lightweight platform focused on individual pedagogical
relationships was required.
The approach
The approach
(placeholder CAFOC) CAFOC designed M-Tutorat as a minimalist LMS layer: a tutor dashboard, a learner
journal, and a framed asynchronous messaging channel. User-centred design with three co-design
workshops involving 12 volunteer tutors from the network. Usability testing across two semesters,
iterations on onboarding flow and notification rhythm.
