PrevenTeam — an escape game for occupational risk prevention

An immersive pedagogical format training GRETA BFC network teams on workplace hazards and life-saving first actions.

(placeholder CAFOC) The GRETA BFC network needed an engaging training tool to sensitise over 2,000 learners per year to occupational hazards — without falling into the classical top-down safety training pattern. Retention rates on traditional safety modules stalled at 40 % at three months.
The approach

The approach

(placeholder CAFOC) CAFOC designed an online pedagogical escape game, playable in teams of 3-5 learners, around an immersive safety-audit scenario. Each puzzle activates a hazard reference (INRS, French Labour Code) through a game mechanic. The pedagogical design team iterated on 4 prototypes with 3 beta cohorts before the final version.

The deliverable

(placeholder CAFOC) A turnkey online platform, deployed in June 2024. Six-month results: 93 % completion rate, 74 % three-month retention (+34 points over traditional training), learner satisfaction 4.6/5. The format is now part of the annual training plan across the 12 GRETA centres of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
